One night to be confused One night to speed up truth

Artist- The Knife / Jose Gonzalez
Song of the day- heartbeats

So I had no idea this was a cover song, but Gonzalez's version kept popping up on my pandora all the time (maybe because I kept liking it) and then tonight the original by The Knife popped up instead and it blew my mind. I know it might be against the rules to post two songs on a song of the day blog, but I think both versions are equally unique and amazing and should be enjoyed together! I mean you can never go wrong when mixing face masks and acoustic guitar in my opinion. Plus there's something about these lyrics I really love and I can't quite figure out why, it's just very human and searching and maybe disappointed at times but enjoying the journey. So whether your journey is more somber and acoustic or techno with blacklights, this song is for you!

One night to be confused
One night to speed up truth
We had a promise made
Four hands and then away
Both under influence
We had divine sense
To know what to say
Mind is a razorblade

To call for hands of above to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me, no

One night of magic rush
The start - a simple touch
One night to push and scream
And then relief
Ten days of perfect tunes
The colors red and blue
We had a promise made
We were in love

To call for hands of above to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me, no
To call for hands of above to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me, oh

And you, you knew the hand of a devil
And you kept us awake with wolves teeth
Sharing different heartbeats in one night

To call for hands of above to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me, no
To call for hands of above to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me, oh
