Artist- The Submarines
Song of the day- 1940
Some bands just make me giddy being in their presence and happier about life, and cuteness and rainbows and ice cream and summer and daisies. That kind of optimism is exactly what I'm looking for right now. And the married duo the Submarines are too cute for words and always bring that happiness to their music, even somehow when they write an entire album about splitting up, only to fall back in love after exchanging their songs. What's more optimistic than that? Blond braids and a daisy filled xylophone? correct! But the opening lyrics of the songs I tend to always sing to myself when I get into a worrying frenzy and I think it's rather fantastic advice. So feel free to pass it along.
Somethings wrong when you regret
Things that haven't happened yet
But it's a glorious day when morning comes
Without the feeling of alarm
So rise, and shine
Nows the time to be alive
To stay awake with me a while, and smile
You couldn't sleep for the awful fright
That kept you up in bed last
But curious shape shift in the dark,
They vanish with the sunrise spark
So rise, and shine
Nows the time to be alive
To stay awake with me a while, and smile
So rise, and shine
Nows the time to be alive
To stay awake with me a while
So rise, and shine
Nows the time to be alive
To stay awake with me a while, and smile
Somethings wrong. . . .
