I heard this song on the radio tonight while I was driving and was reminded how cool Lucinda Williams is and then also remembered my sister was getting to see her tonight. And then in turn had to overcome my jealousy. But I love Williams because she is pure rock n roll, or I guess country depending on who you ask, but I would never describe her voice as pretty necessarily but hardcore, tough, which doesn't make it any less awesome when it comes to her music. Because with that kind of voice and guitar ability she can get away with singing such a girlie, "woe is me", I can't get over this relationship song, and still be seen as a badass. If I could only figure out how to incorporate this type of coolness and simultaneously get away with being over emotional, I think I might be able to rule the world. Or at least become as cool of a rockstar as Williams. But till then for those of you out there who might be more like me when it comes to emotions but needing a little kick in the pants toughness Like Williams, this one's for you.
