Being from the hometown of Buddy Holly you don't have to convince me of his musical icon-ness, but the yet to be released Buddy Holly covers album just shows how far his music continues to reach. On the surface a simple pop riff, but throughout my life I've come to realize how true this song is. Cuz I honestly don't think love is a hard thing to find. I can pretty much point it out to you in every part of life in one day, but it not fading away, that's something bigger to ask for and more real. And what we are all really looking for when we look for love, the non fading kind, that's the kind you sing about. And though I am quite the fan of the original tune, I appreciate this jazzy take on it from one of my own fav funky artists of the year. And I think anything is made better by a mix of drums, funk dance and full body makeup. Including today. So I hope your day just got made better and won't fade away, too soon. if so I propose to add more face paint.
