Please allow me to go extreme mainstream for a moment. My BFFS Kelly and Kate have been harassing me via text the last week about the new T.S. album, about how it is everything I will ever want or need and me not having listened to it yet being pure lunacy (I'm paraphrasing more or less). So as I was at Walmart today (losing my indie fair trade street cred every fantastically cheap isle I went down) I decided Swift had earned my hard copy loyalty that is usually reserved for Rilo Kiley and vinyl. Cuz you can say a lot of crap about today's artist but, girl can write a pop, country, and now dance song. And as I blasted my new CD through my car stereo in traffic it was in fact everything I wanted and needed. It reminded me of crazy night dance sessions with my BFFS shaking off school stress, life stress, and just cuz we enjoy it. And even though the entire world has probably overheard this song already, if you're like me there's always a reason to blast a good song and always something we need to shake off.
